The subject of the show was Air Marshal Sir William COLES KBE, CB, DSO, DFC and Bar, AFC

Eamonn travelled to RAF Northolt to surprise the fighter pilot who rose to the rank of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Technical Training Command. During the Second World War William took command of No. 117 and No. 233 Squadrons, both of which were heavily involved in the Battle of Arnhem.

He was Controller of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
